    With our board certified cytopathologists, we are equipped to provide a wide range of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytopathology services. Rapid response services included.

  • Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) specimens utilizing the ThinPrep® technology
  • Brushings, Washings, and Body Fluids utilizing the ThinPrep® technology

    To complement PDPA, specialized services such as cytogenetics, DNA probe-based testing for infectious disease analysis, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), Fluorescent in-situ Hybridization (FISH) and other molecular tests are provided through our professional venture arrangements with specialized referral laboratories.

    PDPA processes surgical specimens the same day as received and completes interpretation and reporting within 24 hours for most routine cases. Reporting times may vary depending upon the complexity of the case and the need for special stains, consultation, prolonged fixation, etc. Consultations on difficult cases are made locally or sent to nationally recognized experts.

    Our laboratory reports gynecologic cytology results within 4 to 5 days of receiving the specimen. In addition to a monthly quality review, our cytology department presents your office with a Monthly Summary of all gynecologic cytology cases received, including diagnosis.

    Members of our staff are always available to answer questions, discuss interpretations, consult on unusual cases or arrange for special studies. Please contact PDPA, any of the individual Pathologists or your local client service representative when professional consultation is desired.

    Supplies
    PDPA furnishes all supplies necessary for the collection and transportation of specimens to our laboratory.

    Billing
    Our billing service files all insurance claims and accepts responsibility for obtaining payment from your patients and their third-party payers. In addition, we are happy to work directly with any patient who has billing questions or concerns. Your client representative can assist your staff as needed to solve any billing issues that arise.

    Pricing
    Fair and competitive pricing is very important to us. We strive to offer the most competitive patient/third-party pricing in the area. Your client representative will be happy to review our fee schedule.

    Client Services
    PDPA aspires to be the primary laboratory you choose for all your pathology services. To that end, a client representative will visit you regularly to service your needs. This representative will assist you with any concerns regarding reporting, supplies, billing or any other issues.
